More Coron
October 24, 2009These are some of Aoi’s pictures of our Coron trip. He used a Canon SX100IS. I must say the pictures have amazing quality considering the fact that these were taken using a digital camera. [uploading done with permission of course….]
I unearthed these a few days back. I’m enjoying a lot of free time lately, so I’m organizing all my photos. The sets that I have finished editing have been transferred to an external drive, and it will be such a waste if I don’t publish these before storage.
So here are more Coron pictures for us to enjoy…

It’s Never Too Early for Decorating
October 21, 2009Christmas has been and will always be my favorite holiday.
You have to know that my family moved to Manila when I was still a baby, and all my godparents live far south. So, as far as I can recall, I have never received a gift from my ninongs and ninangs. Still, I love christmas. Though things may not be going smoothly at home and at work lately, not even that can ruin my mood. If you reflect about it, the whole country is still recovering from the recent calamities. My woes are nothing compared to that. But I believe we pinoys are strong and resilient, and I know this Christmas will bring new hope.
Sorry, I digressed.
On a lighter note…
What do I love about this holiday season?
I love the colorful displays and joyous carols, the simbang gabi and puto bumbong. I especially love wrapping gifts and making my own gift cards. I cherish the family gatherings and reunions. Also, everybody seems nice during this time. Don’t you think so? The spirit of Christmas is contagious they say.
Last weekend, we finally took out the decors from storage and we bought some new ones. For the new ones, we trooped to Divisoria, where you can buy cheap but good buys. It was crowded than usual when we went. This early, vendors and buyers are clogging the streets. Of course, traffic was bad. Thank goodness Aoi is a patient driver.
After hours of walking, I managed to get just christmas lights and balls. There weren’t much to choose from. We had to go from one to stall to another, and then compare prices. The malls carry better choices actually. But if you’re in a budget, and you’re buying in bulk, Divi is the place to go. Just prepare for the long walk and prepare to haggle.
We went to the mall afterwards to buy a christmas tree for our new home. Yay! Our first tree! Can’t wait to decorate. =)
Will post photos on my next post… I can’t find the cable for my cam..
Under the Weather
October 7, 2009I wasn’t able to go to work today. First, I couldn’t sleep last night. Was it just in our area? But the winds were blowing hard last night. Then I woke up with a bad case of migraine. It’s a good thing I’m staying with my mom these past few days. I slept through most of the day, and no one bothered me. Now I feel rested.
So now I’m wide awake. To ease boredom, I did two of my favorite hobbies—I ate and did some photography.
I used some fresh strawberries. What a delicious subject to photograph…
Then, I sliced them up into quarters and mixed them with my oatmeal.
Yum!
